LA MIRADA, Calif. — As the PCSC conference championship meet approaches, Concordia's Swimming and Diving team showcased its preparedness at the Biola APU Dual Meet. The Eagles competed on Saturday morning, securing first and second place in their last meet before the conference competition on February 13th-17th. The meet was held at Splash! Aquatics Center in La Mirada, Calif., the host venue for the PCSC Championships.

The competition included fellow PCSC foes Biola, Azusa Pacific, Soka University, and No. 21 Cal State East Bay. For the Women, Cal State East Bay finished first followed by CUI, APU, Biola, and then Soka. For the Men's teams, Concordia finished in first place by 363 points followed by Biola and Soka.

"We've been working hard for 3 weeks in January. We got smacked by illnesses but people are starting to get healthy. This was our last regular season meet for us and now we start the taper phase before PCSC Conference Championships in February. That's where we want to be at our best", Head Coach Jeff Boss said.

"I think we've had some successful meets this whole year. I'd like nothing more that to wrap it up with some exciting, fast swims; hoping to get some more NCAA time standards and get deeper into the 'B' cuts. And a trip to North Carolina!" Coach Boss said. "We've also done well in the classroom on both teams with GPAs well over 3.0. We should be getting recognized for those efforts in about a week."

Looking forward, Concordia Swim and Dive will be competing in the PCSC Conference Championships in La Mirada, Calif. on February 13th-17th.
