Week 14 Female Swimmer of the Week

Katy had arguably her best meet as a Slug this past weekend against D1 competition in CSU Bakersfield. She opened the meet by anchoring the winning 200 medley relay. She followed that up by winning the 200 free in a personal best of 1:51.19. That time is a D3 NCAA B Cut, the second fastest in UCSC history, and the second fastest in the PCSC this season. This is Katy's first NCAA B cut. She followed that with an event win in the 100 free in a time of 51.55. This is a UCSC record, a personal best, and the third fastest time in the PCSC this season. She rounded out the day anchoring the winning 400 free relay in a split of 52.22. The next day against Simpson, she split 30.85 in the 50 breast on the 200 medley relay, won the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:12.26, and led off the 200 free relay in a time of 24.25.
