Male Swimmer of the Week 

Morgan Madril, UC Santa Cruz
Morgan had a tremendous meet vs. University of the Pacific. He opened the meet with the fastest fly split
on the 200 medley relay with a time of 21.75. He notched a best time in the 100 back in a time of 53.99.
But the back end of the meet was most noteworthy, with an event win and best time in the 100 fly in a
time of 48.85. That is the fastest time in DIII this season. He also turned in a 45.17 split on the winning 400
free relay that helped seal the meet win over a DI opponent. The relay time of 3:02.00 is the fastest in DIII
this season.


Female Swimmer of the Week 

Kylie Beaudet, Cal State East Bay
Competing against a strong Fresno State squad, one of the top Division I programs in the region, Kylie
Beaudet rose to the occasion with some of the fastest swims in the conference this season. Beaudet
finished second in the 400-yard individual medley (4:23.72) — a time that ranks 5th in NCAA Division II
and 1st in the PCSC — and added a third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.22), also a top-
ranked time in the conference. She rounded out her weekend just off her personal best in the 100 breast
(1:05.53), continuing her strong early-season form for the Pioneers.


Male Freshman of the Week 

PJ Fortune, UC Santa Cruz
PJ Fortune - UC Santa Cruz - PJ had an incredible meet against UOP. He opened the meet with a split of
25.12 on the winning 200 medley relay that set a school record in a time of 1:30.08 which stands as the
second fastest time in DIII this season. He followed that up with a second place finish in the 100 breast
with a best time, setting another school record in a time of 55.79, which stands as the fastest time in DIII
this season. He finished off his incredible day by winning the 200 breast in a best time of 2:04.10 which is
also the fastest in DIII this season.


Female Freshman of the Week 

Malana Kollath, Cal State East Bay
Malana Kollath made a statement for the Pioneers with a record-breaking weekend. She captured the
1000-yard freestyle victory in 10:14.13, setting a new school record in the event — breaking a mark that
had stood for five years. Her time currently ranks 6th in NCAA Division II this season. Kollath also placed
third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.33), the second-fastest time in the PCSC and 9th in NCAA Division II.
She also added a sixth-place finish in the 400 IM (4:33.21), which stands 4th in the conference. A stellar
all-around performance from one of the conference’s top freshmen.


Male Diver of the Week

Eion Hempenstall, UC Santa Cruz
Eion Hempenstall - UC Santa Cruz - Owen won both boards over the weekend with a score of 174.75 on
the 1m and a score of 139.30 on the 3m.


Female Diver of the Week 

Briseis Valenzuela, UC Santa Cruz
Briseis Valenzuela, UC Santa Cruz - Briseis took third place on the 1m board in a score of 216.05 and and
fourth on the 3m board in score of 166.25.
