Fresno Pacific Kicks Off Season at Cal Poly

RESULTS (PDF)

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Both the men's and women's Fresno Pacific swim and dive teams competed on the road at Cal Poly Sunday afternoon.

QUOTABLE
"Despite many challenges, our team performed strongly in the first competition of 2021-22 season," said third-year head coach Adrian Aleksandrowicz. "Overall, we had quite a few good swims at this point of the season. On the women's side, Lauren McGowen recorded her best time in a 1000 freestyle and missed her lifetime best in the 500 by two seconds. Ioanna Palla swam 100 back in 59.8, which is a great start to the year for her. On the men's side, Jan Bialecki stood out. He clocked in a 20.8 in a 200 medley relay and a 21.6 in the 50 free.

The entire team performed well after putting in work for the past month and a half," Aleksandrowicz continued. "What made me very happy was the camaraderie that our team showed today. We hope to ride this wave through the fall season and take it into the championship part of the season."
