St. George, Utah -- On the final day of competition of the 2022 PCSC Conference Championships, two new teams were crowned the best in the league.

Pepperdine was crowned the 2022 PCSC Women's Champions, earning their first ever league title. The Waves finished with an overall 1,476.50 points. Finishing in second was Cal State East Bay (1,370 pts) and Azusa Pacific (930.50 pts).
The 2022 PCSC Men's Champions were the Concordia Eagles who garnered 731 points. CUI secured it's second-ever PCSC title, it's first since 2019. In a tight finish for the top spot, UC Santa Cruz (729.50 pts) and Biola (727 pts) came in right behind to earn second and third respectively.
Starting out day four, the Women's 1650 Free participants took the pool with fifth-year swimmer Peyton Wayment of CSUEB taking first with a time of 17:42.26. UCSC's Brecken Theders (17.46.84) and Westmont's Morgan Bienias (17:50.23) rounded out the top three.
Senior Kyle Benjamin of Concordia took first in the Men's 1650 Free, swimming a 15:46.43. UCSC freshman Presley Golling (16:11.16) and Biola junior Gabriel Weber (16:13.96) were next to finish. All three improved their season-best times in this event.
Alondra Ortiz from Cal State East Bay led the Pioneers in the Women's 200 Back with a time of 2:01.43. Ortiz edged out Pepperdine's Kara Coughlin (2:01.89) while UCSC's Elisabeth Lundgren (2:03.89) came in next.
Reclaiming the title for the Men's 200 Back was Fresno Pacific's Iskender Baslakov who improved his season-best time with a 1:48.10 finish. Coming in a close second and third were UCSC's John Madden (1:50.20) and Biola's Jackson Black (1:50.93) respectively.
In the Women's 100 Free, Azusa Pacific's Montana White secured another title with a 51.06 finish. CSUEB's Brooklyn Dressel (51.30) placed second and Biola's Kolya Vos (51.62) came in third.
Freshman Janek Bialecki of FPU (43.68) earned the crown for the Men's 100 Free while his teammate Oleksandr Ivakin (44.81) came in behind. Concordia's Alberto Cortes (45.22) rounded out the top three.
Biola's Grace Kling put together a 2:18.87 finish to win the Women's 200 Breast and reclaim her title from last year, while a pair of Azusa Pacific teammates, Amanda Anderson (2:20.87) and Delanie Gearing (2:23.39) finished next.
For the Men's 200 Breast, PCSC season leader Denisz Der of Fresno Pacific improved his time to 2:02.28 to win the event. Biola's Jacob Haaksma (2:04.90) and Concordia's Hunter May (2:05.18) each improved their season-best times to earn podium finishes.
CUI's freshman Ryan Burke won the Women's 200 Fly event, ending with a time of 2:05.23 followed by CSUEB's Chenoa Bodero (2:07.66) and APU's Emily Rigsby (2:08.16).
The Men's 200 Fly crown went to Dylan Sewell of Fresno Pacific, who had the best-time all-season long. Coming in second was Biola's Nathan Schwantes (1:54.070 and in third was Concordia's Jayden Hernandez (1:54.41).
Rounding out the night was the 400 Free Relay which helped determine the overall winners of the meet. For the women, Cal State East Bay's Brooklyn Dressel, Olivia Parham, Jacqueline Feurtado, and Delaney Carlson (3:25.14) secured first with Pepperdine (3:28.50) and Azusa Pacific (3:29.76) coming in behind.
On the men's side of the 400 Free Relay, it was Iskender Baslakov, Kirill Baron, Oleksandr Ivakin, and Janek Bialecki who came out on top with a time of 2:59.06. The relay teams of Concordia (3:02.09) and Biola (3:04.13).
