PCSC Athletes of the Week: Nov. 16

The Pacific Coast Swim Conference has announced the PCSC Swimmer & Divers for the week of November 10-16. NAIA swimmers from Arizona Christian have been honored after their performances at The Wyatt Balman Invitational on November 13.

MEN

NAIA Swimmer

Kadin Van der Lingen -- Arizona Christian

The freshman took the podium in two events at The Wyatt Balman Invitational. The South Africa native set a new school record in the 100 Breast (58.82) where he finished first and set a NAIA B cut time. Van der Lingen also set another program record in the 200 Breast (2:10.62) where he finished second. This is Van der Lingen's second weekly honor and one of four for Arizona Christian this season.

WOMEN

NAIA Swimmer

Karlie Rimat -- Arizona Christian

Rimat took charge at her last event, improving her time in the 200 Back (2:08.28), narrowing her closer to a NAIA National A cut. The sophomore followed with a top finish in the 200 Fly (2:10.72) which is a B cut time. This is Rimat's first weekly honor and one of four for Arizona Christian this season.

The PCSC includes institutions from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). All three divisions of the NCAA are represented. Each week, the PCSC coaches nominate and vote on the Athletes of the Week in seven categories: NCAA Division I women, Division II men and women, Division III men and women and NAIA men and women.
