PCSC Athletes of the Week: Dec. 21
The Pacific Coast Swim Conference has announced the PCSC Swimmer & Divers for the week of December 15-21. The weekly winners are Iskender Baslakov from Fresno Pacific and Grace Kling from Biola.
MEN
NCAA DII SWIMMER
Iskender Baslakov – Fresno Pacific
Baslakov put up season best times in three events at the UNLV Invite. His season bests took place in the 50 Free (20.26), 100 Free (44.05), and 100 Back (48.05), which are all top times in the PCSC and NCAA "B" qualifying times. This is Baslakov's second weekly honor, fourth of his career, and the fourth for Fresno Pacific this season.
WOMEN
NCAA DII SWIMMER
Grace Kling -- Biola
Kling was amongst the top performers for Biola at the CBU Invite. The sophomore finished first in the 100 Breast, securing a NCAA "B" qualifying time, her second this season. She also finished second in the 200 Breast (2:17.52) and fifth in the 50 Breast (30.09). Those three events have her set at the top amongst PCSC teams. This is Klings's first weekly honor third for Biola this season.
The PCSC includes institutions from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). All three divisions of the NCAA are represented. Each week, the PCSC coaches nominate and vote on the Athletes of the Week in seven categories: NCAA Division I women, Division II men and women, Division III men and women and NAIA men and women.
