Arizona Christian Takes Down Ottawa

Flagstaff, AZ – Arizona Christian men's swimming turned in more great performances as they won their second meet in a row with a 174-44 victory against OUAZ on Saturday afternoon at Northern Arizona University.

Freshman Kadin Van der Lingen broke the 100 Breaststroke record set by his teammate in the previous meet against SOKA with a time of 1:00.48. That time was also just short of the NAIA qualifying time of 59.84 for that event. It's the second school record that Van der Lingen has set so far.

200 Medley Relay: Kadin Van der Lingen, Alois Garraux, Brock Jerpseth, Noah Froese – 1:57.16 (1st)

1000 Free: Jacob Stahlman- 11:29.46 (4th)

200 Free: Jacob Stahlman – 2:10.02 (1st)

100 Back: Sean Wheeler- 1:04.57 (2nd)

100 Breast: Kadin Van der Lingen- 1:00.48 (1st/School Record)

200 Fly: Mark Sierra- 2:37.71 (1st)

Thoughts From Coach:

After the meet Coach Brad Hering stated, "Brave efforts today at 7000ft by both ACU women and men! Coaches were pleased to be swimming against a D1 school, NAU, and Ottawa. This was a second win for our men's team ! We are on a good wave of improvment and very grateful for the opportunies to compete."
