Female Swimmer of the Week (10/1/2023 - 10/7/2023)
Audrey Washburn, Freshman, Arizona Christian University
On Saturday, the Arizona Christian Women's Swim Team dove into their 2023-24 season with a second-place finish in the tri-meet versus The Master's University (TMU) and Ottawa University Arizona (OUAZ). Audrey was impressive in her collegiate debut, claiming first place in the 100 Breast (1:10) and 200 IM (2:16). She out-touched a TMU swimmer at the wall to win her 100 Breast race by less than half a second.
Coach Brad Hering said, "Great opening meet with plenty of competition! Coach Rob and I were very impressed with the mindset of our teams and especially the team support throughout the competition. Audrey had dual victories in 100 Breast and 200 IM. Many great in-season swims!"
