2024 NCAA Division II & III National Championships

2024 NCAA Division II & III National Championships

On February 28, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and Division III Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Committee announced the qualifiers for the 2024 NCAA Division II and Division III Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships. This year’s NCAA Division II national championships will be held from March 12-16 at the SPIRE Institute Aquatics Center in Geneva, Ohio while the NCAA Division III national championships will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina from March 20-23.

Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference (PCSC) has three men’s and seven women’s NCAA Division II member schools (Biola University, Concordia University Irvine, Fresno Pacific University for men’s; Azusa Pacific University, Biola University, California State University East Bay, Concordia University Irvine, Fresno Pacific University, University of Alaska Fairbanks, and Westmont College for women’s) and one NCAA Division III member school–University of California Santa Cruz. 

2024 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships

Among the seven PCSC member schools, Azusa Pacific, Biola, CSU East Bay, and University of Alaska Fairbanks are sending a total of 14 swimmers and divers to this year’s national championships.

PCSC’s NCAA Division II Women’s Championships Swimming Individual Qualifiers, Eligible Relays and Diving Preliminaries Qualifications:

Azusa Pacific University (3 Swimmers)

  • Amanda Anderson, Senior – 400 IM SCY (4:24.66) 

  • Aleena Herrera, Sophomore – 400 IM SCY (4:23.67)

  • Montana White, Junior – 200 FR SCY (1:48.65), 1000 FR SCY (10:09.97), 100 FR SCY (50.57), 500 FR SCY (4:51.80)

According to the NCAA.org news release, the Psych Sheets below show the invited swimmers with the events in which they achieved an automatically qualifying “A” cut standard or an invited “B” cut standard above the dotted “invited” line and their optional event “B” cut times below the line for Division II championships. In the news release for Division II, the Relay Eligibility List indicates those institutions that may enter a relay for competition at the championships. The list of swim alternates and the men’s and women’s diving preliminary qualifications lists for Division II championships were also released. 

The February 28th NCAA.org news release also stated, “For each swimming and diving event this year, the women will go first and the men will follow. Some events have short intermissions between men's and women's competitions.”

2024 NCAA Division III Championships

As aforementioned, the Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference (PCSC) has one member school in Division III – UC Santa Cruz.

According to the NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Committee news release that announced the qualifiers on Wednesday 2/28, the official psych sheet will be released on Monday, March 4. A total of 260 men and 319 women will qualify for the DIII swimming and diving championships. The news release also stated that “student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the regional diving meets on March 1 - 2.  The complete list of all swimmers competing in the championships is available at www.usaswimming.org/ncaa. Selected divers will be added to the website on Monday, March 4.”

The 2024 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Championships are scheduled to be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina from March 20 - 23, co-hosted by the Greensboro Aquatic Center and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Championships ticket information will be available here soon, and the event will be live-streamed on NCAA.com for all four days.
