Female Swimmer of the Week
Montana White, Azusa Pacific University, Junior
Montana set 4 new pool records at the UAF vs APU dual meet. Some of these records had been in place for over 10 years, set by top DII universities in the country. 100 Free 50.89 (New Pool Record) DII Cut, 200 Free 1:51.07 (New Pool Record) DII B Cut, 500 Free 4:59.05 (New Pool Record) DII B Cut *Swum after breaking the 1000 Free record, 1000 Free 10:16.39 (New Pool Record) DII B Cut, 50 Free 23.80 (Leadoff for the 200 Free Relay) DII B Cut.
Female Freshman of the Week
Dorka Dancsok, University of Alaska Fairbanks
Dorka had an amazing first meet of her collegiate career! On day 1 of UAF's double dual against APU, Dorka split 1:06.18 (BR) on the 400 Med Relay, won the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.60 (now ranked #1 in the conference by over 4 seconds), won the 100 Breast with 1:06.36 (now ranked #1 in the conference), and split 53.91 in the 400 Free Relay. On day 2, Dorka won the 400 IM with a time of 4:32.94 (now ranked #1 in the conference by almost 4 seconds) and won the 200 Breast with a time of 2:26.91 (now ranked #1 in the conference).
Female Diver of the Week
Lorelai Carney, Biola University, Junior
Lorelai came in first place on both boards this weekend vs FPU. Lorelai managed to break the school record for 6 dives on 3M with a score of 255.85 and now has the top score in the conference on 3M. She also holds the 2nd best score in the conference for 1M.
Male Swimmer of the Week
Jayden Hernandez, Concordia University Irvine, Junior
Jayden was a bright spot for CUI in their dual meet at TMU on Saturday. He is the first PCSC swimmer under 21 seconds in the 50 free this year with his 20.95 swim. He returned to the top of the podium in the 100 butterfly with a 50.19, also the #1 ranked swim in the conference. His split on the victorious 200 medley relay was an impressive 21.8, helping the Golden Eagles improve on their #1 ranking in that event.
Male Freshman of the Week
Desmond Sutanto, The Master’s University
Desmond won two individual events in TMU vs. Concordia Dual. His 100 Breast (57.54) is the top time in PCSC and #2 Nationally for NAIA and his 200 Breast (2.08.62) is the top time in PCSC and #3 Nationally for NAIA + a team record. He was also the lead-off for the winning 400 freestyle relay.
Male Diver of the Week
Sebastian Burgos, Biola University, Junior
Sebastian finished 2nd on both boards this week behind teammate Caleb Pook.
Battling through a knee injury over the past 2-3 weeks Sebastian has increased his Diving Difficulty for both boards each week. Right now Sebastian has 2nd best score in the conference for 1M and 3rd best score in the conference for 3M.
