2024 PCSC Championships Day 2 Recap

2024 PCSC Championships Day 2 Recap

MONTEREY PARK, CA – Swimmers and divers gathered at the East Los Angeles College Swim Stadium for another day of intense competition where more schools reported their school records being broken.

The events of Day 2 were: 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle, Women’s 1-meter Diving, Men’s 3-meter Diving, and 200-yard freestyle relays.

Day 2 of the four-day 2024 PCSC Championships wrapped up with some shake-up in the current standings as divers concluded their portion of the conference championships. On the women’s side, the lady Eagles of Biola University received a huge boost from their divers sweeping the podium in the Women’s 1-meter Diving event and overtaking Azusa Pacific University for a first-place finish in the current standing by a narrow margin of three points. The Pioneers of CSU East Bay are currently in third place with 408 points. On the men’s side, the top two teams switched places where UCSC Banana Slugs are ahead of Day-1 first-place Biola Eagles, but only by five points. Fresno Pacific Sunbirds are in third place with 232 points to round out the top three current standings through event 20.
